Blue Chair stool (aluminum or wood slats)

The Chaise Bleue stool in aluminium slats or wood is extremely hard-wearing. It's perfect for use on the terrace or in the garden, summer or winter.

This stool is modelled on the Chaise Bleue Charles Tordo 1950® and uses the same sturdy materials.

What type of slat should I choose, wood or aluminium?

Wooden slats are traditional. However, as with all wooden products, they require care, especially when exposed to the elements. In the old days, towns used to strip and repaint chairs every year. Wooden slats are hand-cut and require a great deal of care to make.

Aluminium slats are much more durable and require less maintenance. The cataphoresis (high-temperature) paint treatment on aluminium slats makes them as hard-wearing as cars. We manufacture and treat our aluminium slats from start to finish.
